“Behaviour is often exemplary. Pupils are thoughtful, extremely well-mannered and considerate towards others. They are very proud of their school.”
At Christ Church we have high aspirations for ourselves and our children; we endeavour to remove the ceiling on learning. Year 5 is no different! Our aim is for the children to be proud of themselves and the unique skills they each have.
To enrich academic work, Year 5’s approach places great emphasis on experiential learning alongside a deeper understanding of the National Curriculum subjects. This means that each term will feature many opportunities to learn outside the classroom or through firsthand experience.
Year 5 is divided into two classes – 5JD and 5TP. Both groups are led by talented and knowledgeable teachers, including:
- Miss Paige Bowyer (5PB class teacher)
- Mr Tom Plank (5TP class teacher)
Learning Support Assistants
Furthermore, classes in Year 5 enjoy the help of highly skilled LSAs:
- Mrs Nicky Marsh
- Mrs Kim Single-Bloom
Please Note: At the beginning of each term you’ll be sent a Curriculum Newsletter which provides more information regarding the things our year group will cover (not to mention any other important details).
