The residential trips we go in at Christ Church school
At Christ Church School we are lucky to go on a Year 4 residential and a Year 6 residential.
Year 4
Year 4 spend two days and one night at Grittleton Adventures just outside Chippenham in after the Easter holidays.
Whilst on the residential they get to take part in 4 different activities as well as an evening one.
On our last trip we took part in:
* Problem Solving
* Mission X
* Crystal Maze
* Aero-ball
* Campfire
We loved being in our dorms which were big and spacious.
The food was yummy as well.
What the children said about it:
“I like all the activities we did.”
“I loved my room, especially as it was down a secret passage. I also had the biggest bed!”
“It was great, the food was nice.”
“It was REALLY good.”
“I loved Grittleton, especially the campfire, as we sang lots of songs, including one about bananas and had toasted marshmallows.”
Year 6
In June after the Year 6 have completed their SATs, they get the chance to go on their residential. They spend 3 days and two nights at Kilve Lodge, near Bridgwater. We stay in an area all to ourselves with small huts and our own building.
There are plenty of activities to do which include:
2 double whole group sessions, 4 single sessions & an evening session each night.
A highlight is going to Kilve Beach famous for it fossils and not only that, the ice-cream on the way back.
