Residential Trips

The residential trips we go in at Christ Church school

At Christ Church School we are lucky to go on a Year 4 residential and a Year 6 residential.

Year 4

Year 4 spend two days and one night at Grittleton Adventures just outside Chippenham, after the Easter holidays.
Whilst on the residential, they get to take part in 4 different activities as well as an evening one.
On our last trip we took part in:
* Problem Solving

* Mission X

* Crystal Maze

* Aero-ball

* Campfire

We loved being in our dorms, which were big and spacious.
The food was yummy as well.

What the children said about it:

“I like all the activities we did.”

“I loved my room, especially as it was down a secret passage. I also had the biggest bed!”

“It was great, the food was nice.”

“It was REALLY good.”
“I loved Grittleton, especially the campfire, as we sang lots of songs, including one about bananas and had toasted marshmallows.”

Year 6

In June, Year 6 went on their residential to Kilve Outdoor Centre, near Bridgwater.   They spent 3 days and two nights in an area all to ourselves with small huts and our own building.

We did lots of activities throughout our time there:

Climbing, raft building, wide games, hiding in the maze, beach walk and exploring the rock pools and trying to find fossils, the crate challenge and archery. In the evening we went on a night walk, seeing lots of wildlife and also a campfire where they toasted marshmallows.
